These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Island Recreational website and your purchase of products and services from Island Recreational ("we," "us," or "our"). By using this site or placing an order, you agree to these Terms.
Island Recreational is a pool retailer serving Nassau County, Suffolk County, and Queens, New York. Pool sales, installation, and service are limited to above-ground and semi-inground pools within that service area. We do not sell or service inground pools, and we do not deliver or install outside of our service area.
Placing an order does not constitute our acceptance of it. We may cancel or modify an order for reasons including product unavailability, pricing errors, or an address outside our service area. Orders designated for in-store pickup must be collected at the store location identified at the time of purchase.
Installation and service work is scheduled subject to availability, weather, site conditions, and permitting requirements. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure the installation site is accessible, level within our stated tolerances, clear of obstructions, and free of underground utilities, sprinklers, septic components, or other hazards. Additional charges may apply for site conditions discovered at the time of installation. Any permits required by your municipality are the customer's responsibility unless we have agreed otherwise in writing.

Products are covered by the applicable manufacturer's warranty, if any. Warranty terms, durations, and coverage are set by the manufacturer and vary by product. Structural pool warranties are administered by the pool manufacturer directly, and claims for those items must be initiated with the manufacturer.
Except as expressly stated in writing, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. Normal wear, improper installation by others, misuse, neglect, water chemistry damage, freeze damage, and weather or storm damage are not covered.
Swimming pools carry inherent risks, including the risk of drowning. Customers are responsible for complying with all applicable state and local safety, barrier, fencing, alarm, and code requirements, and for supervising use of the pool at all times.
Pool chemicals must be handled, stored, and applied strictly according to the manufacturer's label instructions. Any water testing or chemical recommendations we provide are informational and based on the sample and information supplied to us; results depend on factors outside our control, and we are not responsible for outcomes resulting from their use.
You agree not to use this site for any unlawful purpose, to interfere with its operation, to attempt unauthorized access to any portion of it, or to copy or scrape its content for commercial use. All content on this site, including text, images, product photography, and logos, is our property or that of our suppliers and may not be reproduced without permission.
If you create an account, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login and for all activity that occurs under it. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to any product, service, or these Terms will not exceed the amount you paid for the product or service giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including property damage, loss of use, or lost profits.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in New York.
We may update these Terms at any time. The version posted on this page at the time of your use governs that use, and the "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
